Sure, Data didn’t grab anyone in a Vulcan face lock and say ‘Remember’, but then again. Picard faces a long familiar yet deadly Romulan foe, in himself (Tom Hardy in an early pre-‘Bane’ performance, yes that little guy really is him). Riker gets some ass kickin’ scenes, and Worf… where did he come from this time?
I feel it may have gone a bit more streamlined or had been just a bit more ‘norm’ to it’s two immediate predecessors if Frakes had been at the helm, but Paramount had other plans. Billed as ‘A Generations Final Journey’, (You kinda’ wanted it to be by the time the credits rolled) this one all too neatly ties things up yet leaves the knots loose as hell. Oh well, I guess all is fair in love and potential sequels.
